wrong coil spring?

0n my 72 c10 i installed the grand slam kit from CPP with 3 inch drop coils.with the truck sitting on level ground i noticed the driver side bump stop is almost hitting and the pass side there is about 2 inches of clearance.when i jack up the front end everything measures and looks ok.the frame measures ok also.the part numbers on the coils are the same.any ideas?

Re: wrong coil spring?

Frame straight? Is the trucks stance ok when it's on the ground or is the one corner 2" higher? Measure from the fender lips to the ground and make sure its equal on each side. Are the control arms bent? Is one control arm missing the rubber part of the bump stop? The rubber is about 2" tall. Was the stance normal before you lowered it and now that you lowered it, one corner is 2" out of wack? If the truck is sitting level side to side then I bet the rubber bumper fell out if the bump stop on the pass side. Simply remove it from the drivers side.

Re: wrong coil spring?

thanks for the help.i hope i am doing this right,i put a level on the floor and make sure it is level,i measured from the level to the front of frame and the driver side is a 1/4 inch lower than pass side..both upper and lower bump stops are new on both sides, not sure on the stance before i did the install it has been so long,it has been a year to figure this front end out. there is no nose on the truck as of now.i took another measurement and the diff in the bump stops on both sides is 5/8 of an inch.i think if i get the truck on the frame machine and chain down the frame just behind the suspension and pull up on the front frame end the 1/4 inch will be 5/8 of a inch to the suspension area.
