Dropped the 78 shock question
Just put the 78 to a less nose bleed height. Love the way it turned out. Also love the $250 price for the brand new never installed lowering kit. Problem I'm having is shocks. Does anyone know a stock shock maybe off some other car or truck that would work. That I could go pick up at the local Napa. Really want to put some miles on it this weekend.

Re: Dropped the 78 shock question
Your stock front shocks should be fine, I've used front stockers in the rear and worked just fine.

Re: Dropped the 78 shock question
I don't know the number off the top of my head but if you go to the Monroe web site they have a complete listing of all their shocks by length and mounting and part numbers.
Wouldn't take you long to find a shorter shock with the correct mounting. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Dropped the 78 shock question
Having shock extenders in the rear and monroe sensa tracks or bilstien shocks are a solid way to go. Up front some sensa track or kyb gas shocks will work fine.

Re: Dropped the 78 shock question
the vans from the same years used a 1" shorter shock. they will let the axle hit the frame

Re: Dropped the 78 shock question
but shock extenders are a good idea. lets you use stock shocks so you have far more options for shocks and the correct the angle

front shock relocating brackets should help you out in the front.
