Transmission and rear end fluid change
Hey all,
I'm not starting a "which oil is best" thread at all but just want to change engine, transmission and rear end fluids before I drive to my rego inspection on Friday (fingers crossed!). What sort of oil should I use in the transmission and rear end. Just looking for types. As I said, not an argument re which is best or those crazy synthetic v mineral threads. Cheers. I personally am a fan of Penrite, you can buy at your local Repco store.
Engine oil HPR30 20W-60 has loads of zinc in it for old school engines. Gearbox Hypoid 80W-90 mineral Differential Hypoid 140 mineral, thats my take anyway, I'm sure other members may have their own preferences & opinions?

On the engine oil I'd go with something like Red Foreman suggested. On the manual trans and differential I'd run 80-90 in both on a 3600 or smaller truck.
