Accel Distro vs. the feild

I purchased the Accel distributor for my truck back in high for my first blazer. I switched to a HEI and that was the one available off the shelf and available. So when I switched my most recent truck over to HEI i again purchased the cheapest Accel distributor. I was just wondering if there is a significant difference between the elcheapo Accel dizzy and say a $200 MSD. I know you get what you pay for but wondering if there is any considerable performance difference.

Yes, IMHO, performance, reliability, and longevity. I would not get the MSD, I'd get a new GM. A new GM HEI distributor will get you 200k miles, at least. Not sure anyone else can do that on a sustained basis.
