POLL:Need FI Gas Tank Advice Please!

Short Story:
6.2 (l92)/6l80e (stock) combo going in my 72 3/4 ton suburban.

Having difficulty deciding most cost effective/ proper long term solution.

I've narrowed it down to these three options:

1: 1991 Suburban tank with in tank tray for FI (either 25, 31 or 40 gallon) 79.00- for 25, 31 gallon, 110.00 for 40 gallon. Will require some filler neck modifications, but should slide in other than that. Sender is about 100.00. Internal Fuel Pump from a 1992-94 S10 Blazer with CPI about 70.00 (about 100.00 if I use an Internal Walbro instead). Stand alone correct ohms sending unit from ebay about 25.00(Tank has the perfect round spot on the corner of the tank).(need 240-40 ohms for my fuel gauge). If I use the 25 gallon tank I can use the S10 Blazer sending unit and pump combo which is less than 100.00. Reuse my tank straps.Total outlay between 200.00-350.00 + cost of modifying filler neck.

2: Use one of the tanks from above 79.00-110.00. Use a New Fuel Pump Module for a 2009-2013 Corvette Z06 100.00 (found a great deal), still have to buy a fuel level sender for it about 50.00, buy an adapter ring kit to mount the fuel pump about 100.00. Still have to pay someone to weld the adapter on and modify the fuel neck. Total Outlay between 330.00-360.00
(one potential problem with this set up is the depth of the tank. The compressed height of the fuel pump module is 13 1/4". That appears to be the height of the tank. Could be a problem.)

3: Have custom tank made to my specs about with correct fuel pump adapter ring installed 450.00-500.00. Z06 Fuel pump Module 100.00, Fuel level sender about 50.00. Total outlay is between 600.00 and 650.00

I can see the obvious price disparity. My question is which setup is better in the long run on a daily driver? I like the very stock feel of option 1, but I like the simplicity of option 3. I also like to take into account things like fuel line fittings, etc. They all cost extra money. I am running the corvette filter regulator since all of these pumps run higher PSI and need to regulated down. I have a returnless system and will just dump the return from the regulator back in the tank. If I go with the corvette fuel pump I may be able to use PWM at a later date to control it. The corvette Fuel Pump has the single line already attached and if I do the custom tank I could have it near the front of the tank and just connect the Fuel Pressure regulator right to it. I could also spend an extra 85.00 and make the Z06 Fuel Pump Internally regulated at 58 PSI, so no need for the external Regulator. Then I just have to run 1 line from the tank to the engine.
Okay guys, I'm leaving it up to you to guide me. I need to let the guy know by tomorrow afternoon if I want the pump. So please oh wise ones..... Guide me!

I looked at those. They are very nice. I'm hoping for simplicity with stock equipment. He uses aeromotive pumps. If something goes wrong I would like to be able to go down to the auto parts store and get replacement parts without having to wait to order parts off the Internet. I've also heard the pumps are a little loud for a daily driver. I was speaking with him about a custom tank though, that is where I got my 400-450 number from.

Modifying the filler neck really wasn't that big a deal. I would be careful ordering the 31 or 40 gal, unless you know the depth isn't a problem. That 40 will fit a lwb, but I don't think there's any way in a swb.

I vote for the '91 burb tank with stock sender. I'm planning on getting the 25 gal. tank to convert my truck soon. As far as I knew the 25 gal. tanks were blazer only, and the fuel injected 25 gal. tanks were only offered in '87. I know '87-'91 is the same, but that's just what I've found. I've been thinking about going with the 25. gal tank because its only 10" deep, and I'm about to lower my truck.

Also, where did you find a 25 gal. tank for 79.00?
