1967 Gas Pedal Options

I would like to covert my pedal to a hanger. I've searched a few areas and haven't found anything shocking. I found a Lokar BaG-6164 or the Midnight Version(not sure of the part number). Anyone have some quick suggestions? If I'm going to spend $155 bucks for a gas pedal without the cable, I want some options. This is a daily driver and by no means intended as a show truck. Ill continue to surf.

The short story is, I will be doing some floor pan work later this summer and the floor is Flintstoned where the stock pedal mounts. If I can convert it to a hanger, then that will get me by for a while until i prep the floor work.

Thanks in advance.

Re: 1967 Gas Pedal Options

You mean a gas pedal without the rod right? The Lokar that you mention does use a cable. Why not go with a 71/72 pedal? It will be pretty cheap, and look stock.

Re: 1967 Gas Pedal Options

From what I read the firewall mount is different for a 1971-1972 pedal. If you look at Lokar they carry two different pedal mounts. One is for a 1967-1970 and a 1971-1972. I have a 1971 Chevy truck I could rob a pedal assy from, however, am not sure it would bolt up. That is why I was looking around for options.

Right, that is why I posted the link to the thread that shows how you mount the cable style 71/72 pedal to the firewall of a 67/70. Check that thread out.
