Rear End
Hey y'all ... I am dripping out of my rear end. Being new to these trucks as well as wrenching in general, how do I fix this problem? Remove that cover and put a new gasket in? How do I determine what rear end I have? I see that it could be a GM 10-bolt or Dana. Are there other possibilities?

Re: Rear End
there's really only 3 spots it can leak from. (thats easy to fix that is the others are big $$$ ) The pinon seal, axle seals or the cover .
I would clean it 1st to be able to see where it leaking from and take a couple of pixs and post it here to figure out which rear to help you out with whats needed.

Re: Rear End
Your rear is going to be a GM 12-bolt. As czarcaustic said, the place to start is to figure out where it's leaking from. But none of the repairs are necessarily very expensive, especially if you're willing to get your hands dirty.
