74 Blazer has sat for many years.......

I recently acquired a 74 Blazer 4wd for $300. It has a 350 TH400 with 205 and a 4" lift with blocks front and rear. . I do not know for sure how long this truck has been sitting but the last time it was registered appears to be 1983. The engine had some mods to it externally but I do not know about internal. Anyway thats not a big deal I was thinking of going crate engine and the email I got from Scoggin Dickey seems to have just what I need. 330hp, 400+ ft lbs or torque for $2100 or so.

The main question I have is since this truck has obviously sat for along time what do I need to do as far as the running gear? I was going to redo all the suspension basically and upgrade possibly to 3/4 ton running gear and maybe a 4" lift...possibly 6". Do you guys think I could get by with just changing fluid in the transfer case and possibly even the trans? This will not be a daily driver or anything like that.

Thanks
Brad
