Hey Scott, What is the difference if any in a 3/4 ton than a 1/2 ton gas cap? I was not aware of a difference. I will keep my eye out for one for you.

Neither did I till I tried to put one on my truck lol the part that fastens to the neck of the tank is bigger. I don't believe the cap itself is bigger just the (fastening part) inside the cap

According to the books 67-72 3/4 Ton all are the same size cap but different from the 1/2 tons

I have a Longhorn that i am moving the tank out of the cab. PO already removed the tank but iirc there was still a filler neck or cap or something in the hole. I will take a look tomorrow

I have a 3/4 ton w/an aux tank from the factory and the caps aren't interchangeable. I have the part #'s for each in my build thread. I'll look for them.
Stant 10623, cab tank 703-1092, aux tank May be stant idk These are after market. But I wanted to give you options in case you can't find one. If you find an old one chances are the check valve won't work.

Here is what I have, $12 shipped.
I tried to put it on both my 72 1/2 tons and sure enough the opening is bigger on 3/4 tons. Ok still can't post pics due to the changes/rebuild? of the site, PM sent. |

I think it has something to do with the vent return line. 3/4 tons and larger did not have the charcoal canister with the return line back to the tank.
