Does anyone have an Assembly Manual for a Squarebody?

The PAD (or PDM), like this, is what I am looking for.

And, if so - at your leisure - could you flip through there and see if there are any instructions to clean out extraneous papers/remove stickers, etc before shipping?

Thanks in advance -

K

Re: Does anyone have an Assembly Manual for a Squarebody?

I couldn't find a notation in my '72 Nova assembly manual about cleaning up your mess. I swear I came across a little blurb once somewhere about it.

Maybe we are both thinking about something written in a pre-delivery manual. The pre-delivery one for my ford basically says: remove anything that is not considered to be part of the final product presented to the customer, right down to checking for dirt when removing the temporary floor mats. Vacuum, wash, etc.

Alex.

Re: Does anyone have an Assembly Manual for a Squarebody?

Thank you; thanks for checking on that.

I've asked my Pontiac buddies to look as well, and later today I'll talk to my assembly plant contacts to see what information they have from the "modern era".

Thanks again -

Keith:

I have looked for a AIM for the 77 Chevy P/u for a long time; don't
believe one was ever reproduced for the public. The closest you can
get is a GM Parts Illustration Book as shown below. Is is very close
to a AIM but not as good.IMHO Larry

Re: Does anyone have an Assembly Manual for a Squarebody?

Thank you, but I am looking for process direction from engineering to the assembly plant (rather than part information).

I thought an Assembly Manual was available for our trucks?

Makes me wish I hadn't thrown them away all those years ago...
