700r4 question
Wanting to get a 700r4 transmission for my 85, my question is what year of transmission should I be looking for, is there certain years that are better then others?

Avoid the first few years of the 700r4. the 82-84 are junk.

The 88-92 are the best ones, good Idea to get one from behind a V8. Make sure you set the TV cable right or you'll fry the trans quick!!

I have a 700r4 in my 84 Gmc. It came out of an 86 camaro. I've drove it for a year and half and its been well worth the $75 I have in it.
