my 65 chevy

hello my name is tony i live in NC i bought this 65 to fix up. ive allways been 67-72 73-79 truck guy so now i bought a 65 thanks for looking

thanks ya my plan is to put 350 motor 350 trans 5 lug it with 73-79 stuff. and just drive it as i fix the small stuff

hey thanks. I just bought a 68 last night with a new 350 and a t5 5 speed and new front disk brakes and ps. It also has a blazer tank out back with lots of new parts. so now i can get started on my 65. I belive i just going to put my 65 body on that frame

I remember reading out here about the issues in this body swap, although I can't remember where, and I believe it is not a straightforward swap. Looking forward to seeing what direction you take.

Is the 65 frame straight? I have someone who is looking for a 63-66 short bed frame, but has to be straight. Let me know if you do the swap and don't use the frame.

the 68 has a new 350 5 speed new brakes and breaks lines and new front end rebulid and a blazer tank out back thats would be a lot of redoing if i swap it on to my frame

To use the '68 frame you will have to relocate the rear cab mounts as well as the radiator support mounts. Then the frame horns are different, for the different years of bumpers. Also, the '68 will not have the radiator lower mount/crossmember as your '65 does.
