anyway of stopping gas t. from siphoning

I have to change a rubber hose right by my gas tank,it looks a little tricky and the only way I can get at it good is with my face right under the hose,I don,t want to get soaked .Is there away to stop the gas from siphoning out.

Without pictures and not knowing which exact hose you looking to change, if there is another hose between the tank and the one you are changing, put a pair of vise grips on that hose and you are good.
If this is the closest hose to the tank you can,
1. Drain the tank
2. Drive around till you run the gas out of that tank.
3. Get a little wet. In this case it pays to be speedy.

That's about it. No magic

The only way to stop siphoning is to break the vacuum. IE: lift the hose higher than the level of the tank.

either syphon it out or
take your cap off, blow the gas back into the tank, slowly, low pressure, like by mouth
once you get it back in, it shouldn't come out
I've blown bubbles in the tank,to check for broken sender line
it should only rise back to the tank level, without suction to get it further up the sender
