I have a 71' K10 LWB truck, with lockers and Dana 44 front end. Im trying to go back stock on almost everything. Does anyone have a image of what Chevrolet put on the 4wd trucks... Rallys with hub cut outs? Juicer style, ???, i.e. Please post pics of direct me in the correct way. The truck has black wheels, chrome bands, and 73-88 style hubcaps?!? Thanks Brothers

trim rings were not factory (post #13 in the link).

Wheels:
Standard: 6 lug 15x6" steelies
Optional: 6 lug 15x8.25" steelies
(note: Truck rallies were NOT a factory option in 71 or 72).

Caps/wheel covers:
Standard: White hub caps (blue bow tie) (didn't have any pics of these, but identical to bright ones shown below, just white where these are bright...)
Optional: RPO PO3 Bright hub caps (blue bow tie) (note - the 2nd ochre/white truck has 73+ yellow bow-ties on it below, but they can be repainted to blue)
Optional: PRO PO1 Bright wheel covers
All front caps/wheel covers would have had the cutout for the Dana 44 lockouts. I'm not 100% certain the wheel covers were yet available in 71, but know they were in 72.

Tires:
Standard: G78-15
Optional: H78-15
Optional: L78-15

as for wheel color - I believe they would have normally been white, regardless of truck color. BUT, that is something I'm not 100% certain on - I have seen a restored truck or two, and a few original brochures (69 sales, for example) that showed black wheels (with NO caps).

Here's the 71 brochure - shows white wheels on the blue K20.

Then of course there were the 10.00-16.5C tires on 8.25" wheels. Big bump from the stock 15x6" wheels and G78-B15 tires. As an interesting note, these cost more than the A/C option!

The K10 pickup wheels were white, 67-68 4x4 trucks had black wheels without caps.

6 x 15 was standard
8.25 x 16.5 option w/10.00s
16" was also an option,but can't recall if they were 6" or 5.5"
8 x 15s (not 8.25) were aftermarket,then factory later on
No hubcaps till '69
Pre-69 had black wheels
'69 had silver
Post-69 had white
The wheels you need were used through '91

IF i cant find hubcaps you guys think i should just run white steel wheels.. Trucks going back Medium (Hawian Blue) THANKS SOOO MUCH FOR THE HELP!! ITs GREAT!

personally, I would do exactly that until you find some. runnin w/o caps looks good, was stock in earlier years. but keep up the hunt, they pop up fairly often. are you looking for po3 hubcaps or po1 wheel covers?
