NP 205 Help me...
I'm putting new gaskets in my 205 while I've got it out for a clutch swap. All was good until I took off the rear output and the 15 needle bearings inside the output shaft got out. Is it just a matter of being patient and sticking them back with vasoline? The washer and snap ring that keep them there make it tough for a guy with fat fingers. If not is there another trick I can't find? It doesn't look like there is any access except from the front...
I need this back together ASAP. Any help is appreciated. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: NP 205 Help me...
Yup, some thick grease to hold them in place, use something skinny to put them into place ( Not your sausage fingers ) "LOL"
You can stick them to a screw drive with the grease and carefuly get the in place ! Good Luck ! Gary

Re: NP 205 Help me...
Use a popsicle stick with heavy grease. If the 205 is out of the truck you'll want to put the tcase on its back, but in a way that you can still get to the rear output side. This will allow you to CAREFULLY slip the rear output shaft back on in with it face up. If you tip it to far to either side the bearings will fall out of place. I just did this over Memorial weekend. Let us know if you have any more questions. GOOD LUCK!
