Newbie with a new project.
Hi gang. Just found your cool truck site and it looks like a good place to hang out.
Just picked up a '92 GMC Suburban 2WD. 350/auto, 153k, 3rd seat, super clean inside and out. Even a lot of tread on the tires. I'd like to lower it about 4" and change out the wheels. I may even update the sound system and head and tailights. Always interested in suggestions and opinions. Here's my new ride. Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device |

Nice find. Very nice truck, and especially nice with that 3rd row seating! What style wheels are you looking into?

Re: Newbie with a new project.
I just picked up 4 Astro van chrome wheels. They look pretty nice, mostly need a good cleaning. Mounted on them are Firestone Destination LE tires, 215/75/15 with only 3000 miles on them. Got the set for $125.
I want to get a set of chrome center caps for them before I put the on.

Re: Newbie with a new '92 'Burban project.
Any tips for improving MPG?
Checked it the other day, I got almost 17, and that is mostly town driving.
