Is this ball joint installed right?
85 C10 CPP 2.5" drop spindles, 2" drop springs, poly bushings.
So I thought I had an issue with the control arm bc the ball joint was going in and out of the hole. So I bought a control arm new moog ball joint and bushings to fix the problem. The ball joint went in the control arm like it should same with the bushings. I got everything installed and was putting the ball joint through the spindle and it didn't seem to go in the hole far enough. It just didn't look right, but I can put the cotter pin through the ball joint with the nut on, but it just doesn't look right. Pic: Posted via Mobile Device

There is a shoulder that the control arm sits on. That is right.

Re: Is this ball joint installed right?
Ok thanks. I had a bad control arm, I can push the old one in and out 1/2 way and use a rubber mallet to put it all the way in.
