Re: Patina Turner
Finally got the nerve up to cut it into a shortbed. The old bed has to go, because I'm out of room.

Re: Patina Turner
Started to shorten it yesterday. It isn't difficult, but is tiring. A lift and a good friend who has done it before makes it easier. We are doing it the way ECE shows on their website.

Re: Patina Turner
We finished the welding, and put the dropped springs on the truck. When we measured it out, the difference between left and right was about 1/32nd of an inch. That's pretty good for cutting it on the floor. I have to admit that I was a little freaked out when the back half of the frame was on the floor upside down getting cut. My arms are sore from all the sanding of the undercoating from the frame. Only pinched my fingers once. Tomorrow we plumb the rear brakes, and measure for a new driveshaft. The two piece shaft is going in the trash. Pics tomorrow. Oh, the new bed is a reproduction except for the original tailgate.
