Brake pedal assembly question

I have a 69 gmc and converting front suspension from a 1990 suburban. Also convention to 350 and 400r4 tranny. I have the master cylinder and brake booster from suburban. Can the brake pedal assembly from a 1990 suburban fit in a 1969 cab? I want to use the larger brake pedal. Looking to not have to modify the rod on the master cylinder.

Any body ever tried this?
