Electric fan
I am wondering if anyone makes a good bolt on electric fan for a 66 chev? I'm not interested in a scrap yard one, or one that mounts with zip ties through the rad. I have a stock rad. Any ideas on where to find or if there is such a thing. Thanks.

Electrolite makes one that I used. It comes with universal brackets. It includes an adjustable sensor & relay. It pulls 2800 CFM. It has a soft rubber seal that goes up against the rad. It is not cheap but I think it is a good fan.
I'm with you on tie raps into the rad. core. I would never so that. |

Really no reason not to use a scrap yard fan if one is available to you.
Those FORD fans can generate quite a breeze and if it saves you $100 or more than why not? I got mine from an auto recycle yard and can't be more pleased with it. $30.00

Do you guys have any pics of you mounted these fans with the universal brackets? I took your advice and got one sitting here. I haven't looked at it to closely yet, by thought a picture or 2 would help.

summers here are real warm and it seems like every year i mess with my radiator and this year i hope to stop doing that . just had my 4 core radiator rebuilt, U.S. radiator, dont ever buy one. 3 months after installing it, the top tank came loose and U.S. radiator would not honor the warranty. so i took it to a radiator shop and they said good radiator, bad workmanship, they fixed it right. they recommended flex a lite black magic, 3300 cfm. i went to local performance shop here and they carry it but recommended a 2800 cfm maradyne that they put to a test against it and said the lower cfm maradyne blew the 3300 cfm away. i am installing a twin fan maradyne tomorrow in my 63, i hope it is the last summer i have to mess with cooling
