tubing bender: anybody use one of these?

Looks like it would be good for tight spaces.

Re: tubing bender: anybody use one of these?

Never used them, but looking at the description can they be used for steel tubing like brake lines?

"They are designed for use on copper, aluminum, and thin wall tubing."

Does "thin wall tubing" mean steel?

I dunno. I was wondering that too.
I need it for power steering high-pressure line adjustment.

They will bend steel brake lines,... but not the best tool.

Look for a brake bender specific to the size line you are working with and buy the BEST you can afford.
Swagelok in my opinion is the BEST!

I also own an Imperial bender.
It is ok.

Look at Classic Tube or BrakeQuip for other quality benders.

Basically looking for something for a tight radius bend next to a flared fitting. I'm thinking I'm not gonna have a lot of use for a 3/8 tubing bender in the future.
But, speaking of best tools....
I bought this from Eastwood several years ago and I love it. It's the first and usually the only tubing bender I grab. Works like magic. Unfortunately, it doesn't come in 3/8 size.

I have an old KD brand bender just like that and have custom bent many complete steel line systems with it. You can use it for tight bends by the flare by using a steel rod inside the tubing when the end won't reach the outer roller.

I have this one and it works great. You can go full 180 degress with no kinking at all. The connecting strap is a lot heaver than most which end up breaking right at the rivet that holds it together.I have only used it on steel tubing. Not sure why it says only aluminum and copper. It definately has 0 issue bending even heavy wall tubing. http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item....re&dir=catalog

Re: tubing bender: anybody use one of these?

I have this one made by Mac Tools... https://www.mactools.com/shoponline/...be-bender.aspx

Even though it is made out of nylon resin... it won't break. When the Mac Tool guy handed it to me, I kinda scoffed at it since it was "plastic". He said, "Good luck trying to break it." So I bought it. It makes nice bends. I used it to make the steel 3/8" fuel line for my truck. Have also made some brake lines with it as well.
