Is this Worth Fixing..
My grandfather in-law picked up a 1968 step side in 1994 and took it a bodyshop to get it fixed up as a street rod, had it painted and other stuff done, but as the process was taking place the shop owners son-in law stole a bunch of parts and has yet fixed it.. my grandfather-in-law and the guy are great friends and he never pushed the issue, but he has talked about fixing it back up, and the shop guy is wiling to help and i have decided to help him, here is what we got let me know what you think.... is it worth it. or not..

Your first step is to get the truck back in your possession. The longer is stays there, the more stuff that will be taken from it. It looks like a solid start. Take it to another shop if you are farming out the labor. I wouldn't trust it to a place where parts have already been stolen, no matter if the owner is your grandfathers friend or not.

No matter how good the "friend" to you FIL is... the shop screwed him once. Wouldn't even fathom a second chance with that shop. These trucks aren't as hard to work on as you might think. Haul it home ASAP. Also, you'll have the satisfaction of doing it all yourself for a fraction of the cost.

I'd say yes with a but and no with an and.
YES it's worth fixing but you will spend money doing so. No it's not worth fixing and you'll always remember the day you made the bad decision to not fix it.

were not sure about the bed.. where it is or what happen, so i'm looking for one if anyone know where i can find one... it was a stepside so i would like to find one.. but it not a short bed would be fine...

Absolutely worth it man. beating a dead horse, but get it OUT of that shops possession. I worked quite a bit around body shops doing autoglass for 15 years, and there is never a good reason to leave something like that at the shop where it was violated. If it were my shop, and it had been my son that did it, I'd have your Grandfather in law come and get it, and make it right with a check. (and then the beatings would begin! lol) Thieves suck!
