How do you find spot welds!?

I'm having trouble locating spot welds. I'm I'm the process of replacing sheet metal on cab and can't find all the spot welds. Any tricks to it?

Re: How do you find spot welds!?

Hey '59, I find it a little easier to lightly sand or grind the edge where you think they are and they'll show up as little low spots.. drill the ones out you see but i'll tell you there will be some that hide and you'll only find them as you start pull the metal apart... do your self a favor and get a spot weld drill kit they work great.. couple pictures to help show you what to look for..

Re: How do you find spot welds!?

Factory assembly manual shows the spot weld patterns, not exact always but close enough so you know how many and approximate spacing. Best $25 you will spend.
