door seals

I need help....I got my doors lined up and they shut good....well until I put new door seals on, now no matter what I do, I have to slam the door to get it shut. Has anyone else had this problem and what do I do about it?

Re: door seals

Give them time to break in. They all do that when new.

Re: door seals

This is common on our trucks, you can adjust the latch plates on the jamb a little at a time until it shuts better. Be patient, it takes time to get it right.
I may try to bend the ridge in a VERY small amount on my current build and see what happens, keep in mind the fit wasn't that great when these were new.
