Disc brakes, master cyl

Is this the right master for a 67 C-10 with a 71 C-10 disc set up? Or do I need the big/little resavoir type master? Got a part #? Thanks

WELL NOW

My disc setup has the other master on it I belive these were for the drum setup only.I read a while back that someone was using this type on a disc setup and I don't know why it wouldn't work on either setup. But for a whopping $11.94 you can get a new 1 for disc brakes at Advance Auto and put the mystery to rest,Hope this helps GOOD LUCK

You should have the larger resivour type for discs.
The caliper uses the fluid for adjustment in all basic terms, so you will need quite a bit more in order to adjust them and maintain enough in the master to keep them working.
In all reality, there is a chance of sucking that thing dry when the pads get worn.

I was under the impression that the different master cylinders were made by different suppliers & they had to be compatible with that supplier's boosters. My 79 Sub has the 2-bail type, & my friend's 75 P/U has the other one. Both work fine.

one bail two bail doesn't matter...it is the size of the resivour I am refering to.

LOOKS RIGHT

There were two for DB. That looks like one of them. The overall size is much larger than the one for drum brakes. Is there a bigger chamber on one end under the cap?
