do i need shock relocator brackets?
doin' the 3/4 drop on the 68 1/2ton w/ coil springs.i have the drop shocks for the project,as well as the adj. track arm.question is at what point in "inches of drop" do you need to go to relocating the shock brackets in back?is this only in lowering 5" and more....(c-notching the frame type of applications)?

I dropped the rear of mine 3" and it required the relocators. I could have done it w/o, but the ride quality would have suffered.

if i remember reading right the magic number is 4" so yeah i'd go for it. It wont hurt at all... in fact it'd improve ride.. because of the shock being more actively involved. good luck

I used the ECE shock relocation kit with 4" dropped rear coils on the Burb and it rides great. I suspect any more than 4" would require C-Notch to maintain ride quality, but could be mistaken.

I did just a spindle drop in front on mine and a 4-5" shorter coil in the rear. I just flipped the lower mounts swapping sides and used a spacer plate between them and the arms. Still run stock shocks and don't notice any lose in handling. Its down there and hugs the road corners like it is stuck to the road.

I don't have them..... I couldn't tell you how bad it is compared to with them..... my shocks and springs were shot all the way around before hand. It is i little too bouncy at times though I don't know if the relocators would help that any.

The rides alright. After all it's no Caddy. I enjoy driving the truck every day. So I have no complaints. Might have should have used regular shocks instead of heavy duty gas. I love my truck!
