I finally ran my truck at the Track!!!

Well me and my cuz went to the local track for my 1/4 mile run in the truck lol. Just to let u kno wat i got for mods....New Flowtech headers, new 2.25 pipes, no cats, with 2 flowmasters. Ok...my slowest run was a 18.06 don't ask lol. Then my last run was the fastest...i had a great R/T of .662 and ran at 79.65 to hit an E/T of 17.23!! Not as fast as some of you but we've all bee nthere at one point lol. It had alot of fun...and u have to admit...gonig from an 18..to a 17.23without adding a single mod is pretty dam good haha. Anyways..i ran 10 times..and still had a 1/2 of tank of gas left lol. Now for my kills....i only won 2 races, i beat a cummins turbo twice lol. But it was fun. There alot of 9 sec bikes there. And my friend marc ran his truck at an 11.67 He as happy lol. Just wanted to share my good news with yall Laters

Stock 350 or what? When I take my truck to the track (after I get my posi) I hope to go for low 14's.

Glad to see you were having some "safe" fun at the strip. Next time you go, start out with lessthan half a tank of gas. It should cut even more off your times.

BTW- What was the temp and humidity at the time. My guess is you were at least in the upper 80's or low 90's. That kind of heat kills you ET...

Better plan on adding quit a bit to your motor. It will take about 400 rear wheel hp to see "low" 14's...

That will help quite a bit. Of course it depends on what heads you are running too. The right cam and intake could add anywhere from 30 to 40 "real" hp.

Tyler,
Is there a track in Middland? Or did you travel to Odessa?
I know what it's like. I have my share of 1/4 blasts. What were your 1/8 mile traps?
Keep tweeking it and practise.
What gears do have matched to your probable 350th?
