Not a Chev or a GMC,

But it still followed me home!

62 Studebaker Champ, 170 ci straight six, 3 on the tree with over drive. Runs good, needs a little brake work and the over drive cable seems to be stuck.

Not to bad body wise, a little rust in the rockers, already has new floor pans installed.

Anybody have any Studebaker knowledge?

Cool truck!
I have a soft spot for Studes, I have owned many over the years and know them quite well.
Let me know if you have any questions

Re: Not a Chev or a GMC,

Finally found some time to do a little work on this truck and take a few more pictures.
New front brakes, shoes and wheel cylinders. I had forgotten how much fun it can be to adjust them right.
New points, plugs, cap and rotor, it ran pretty good for having Bosch lawnmower plugs in it.

It looks better in pics than it really is, whoever painted it did no prep work at all, just shot paint over the surface rust. Also several runs and serious orange peel.

Here are a few more pics:

a shot of the engine, carb doesn't appear to be stock:
