Custom build - Thoughts?

I'm all for modern technology on classics, change out the suspension, brakes, lighting, electrical, etc.. but I'm not sure how I feel about the body panels. This truck popped up on CL a while back when I was shopping for my current build, and it just popped up again. 69 with a 02 bed. Clearly a lot of work was put into it, and it's done well, but I'm not too sure about the style match. Anyone else ever think of doing something like this?

Re: Custom build - Thoughts?

I'm not a huge fan of putting any sort of newer bed on any older truck. But they like it, and it looks like they have done a really good job of doing it.

Re: Custom build - Thoughts?

I am not a fan of the wrong year bed on any truck. It just looks WRONG to me. I wont by one at any price. So these trucks do tend to polorize most people and if you ever want to get rid of them that can become an issue.

Re: Custom build - Thoughts?

yea im looking to find the perfect 20's with 33's with short rubber and square sidewalls.

Im thinking the open country m/ts are where im heading but Im keeping my eyes open.

i like that truck except theres to much air above the tires.

in reality I think what I want will end up having no clearance to the inner fenders and probably wont be able to turn around in an airport. but I want the look. hahah.

sorry for the hijack.
