Any 16x8 factory 8-lug wheels?

I searched before & came up dry; now that search is disabled, I'll just ask. I don't recall seeing any, but would sure like to get some - especially rally-type - even if it means from a different brand!

I'd like to stay with steel wheels because my studs are too short for alloys, and I'd rather not have to change them. Anyhoo, I'd like to know if they even exist, so I can keep looking or give up!

I used Dodge truck wheels, they fit right on and I got a whole set with good tires for $100. They look good but you can tell they are from a Dodge if you know your trucks..... anyway I think you can use any 8 lug wheels, Fod Dudge or Chevy.

Are you saying you found 16x8 Dodge wheels? If so, do you know what year they were from?

Thanks for the great advice. I can do that; it only means taking a day off work. Nearest boneyards are more than an hour away.

I know that 16" 8-lug wheels are common. My question was about 16x8 wheels. I haven't found anything about them in that width . And I'm trying to get some info before I spend a day looking for something that may not even exist.

I'm sure there are folks on this board who know whether or not 16x8 steel wheels were available as OEM.

My 46-72 parts book shows 16 x 5, 16 x 5.5, 16 x 6. The closest thing that I find is a 16.5 x 8.25. Sorry, and I know that is not what you were looking for or wanting to hear. Just want to be accurate.

Now that's info I appreciate! Maybe not what I was hoping to hear, but at least I won't waste more time chasing shadows. I'll just have to find some aftermarket alloys and get longer studs to mount 'em on. Thank you!

In case ya didn't know, F@rd makes a 16X7 rim. If ya run the small hubcaps, it'll cover the F@rd name stamped in the center by the holes. If you're interested in some ralleys, here's what I'm putting on my truck. I got them off e-bay. They're sold by a company called Truck and RV Supply. They're take-offs from a truck that they installed custom wheels on. They're brand new.The price was right, and they include the centers, the rings, and the two piece lug nuts. (the actual lugnut, and the plastic cover that screws on over them) Just my $.02

yup Truck RV supply also i got my nice chrome like the pic for my 02 GMC 16" for winter wheels .. ya know it snows up here .. duh chrome in the winter .. oh well look on ebay for truck RV

Yup, I considered aftermarket steelies, but I've already done that before with the wagon spoke wheels, and I'm looking for something different this time. Gonna look into Truck & RV Supply... thanks for the tip!

Those Rallies look great, kinda what I had in mind. Are they 8" wide?

None of the OEM wheels are 8" wide. You might find some 7" wide ones, but lots are 6" wide. Note that wheel width is measured to the outside of the bead. Overall width of a 7" rim is about 8" outside to outside.

Those 2 piece lug nuts are metric and will not fir our trucks in case you didn't think about that.

Well, I knew that width is measured inside, bead-to-bead; but I knew nothing of the 2 piece lug nuts! (Learning all the time!)

Been doing a bit of tire research; the BFGs I'd like to use are 285/75-16, with a 32.9" diameter. Rim width range is 7 1/2" to 9", with 8" recommended.
