BBC Power Steering Pump

Did a search and couldn't find much.

Does anyone have a part number or supplier for a 1972 BBC Power Steering Pump with the remote reservoir?

Thanks

You can get them at Autozone. I don't know if you have Autozone in Canada.

Re: BBC Power Steering Pump

I talked to a guy at the Pomona Swap Meet a couple weeks ago that specializes in BBC bolt on accessories. Mostly Pulleys and brackets but he also does steering gears and pumps. His contact info on his card is...
E-bay: gotpulley
E-mail: bigblockjim454@cox.net
phone H (480)981-3096
Phone C (602)751-0454

Might be worth a phone call if he has what you need.

Re: BBC Power Steering Pump

Rock auto lists one w/res, LARES 2129 w/ Reservoir; Reman

I just replaced mine this week, using one without a res - CARDONE SELECT Part # 96140

it took me all of 10 minutes to take the res off the old one and using new seals (included) install it on the new one. its really pretty simple.

Re: BBC Power Steering Pump

Looks like i'm revisiting my own thread!

Twisted, how was it to separate the housing from the pump? looks like the one i ended up buying sat for a few years and it leaks like crazy, so i thought i'd replace the pump to housing o-ring.

Re: BBC Power Steering Pump

A few taps with a soft faced mallet and it will come right off.

Re: BBC Power Steering Pump

Just wanna make sure you mean to tap the housing where the lip rolls over the face of the pump and have it slide back? Undo all the fittings on the back first I assume.
