What kind of wheels are these?

I've seen some old squarebodies around town with these wheels, and it has that "period correct" look.

What style are they? I think they're Cragars, but there are seriously 10K types of crager wheels so looking for this particular style got overwhelming.

Cragar only makes like 10 styles tops. They are the S/S.

Re: What kind of wheels are these?

Good grief. $150 each for chrome wheels? When I bought my last set of cragers (sawblades) they were about $50 each for chrome. (just looked they're $75 each now)

Make that $170 each for NEW S/S wheels

OK, who's running them on their squarebody, what size/offspacing are you running, and what size tires look best.

Just dropped down my list of priorities when i saw the price, but still something to look at in the future.

I think it was that Western made some. They are a knock off the SS wheels. Granted the hub part looks a bit different if memory serves me correctly. This of course is a cheaper option to the cragers.

Re: What kind of wheels are these?

Not sure what you mean by "60's and 50's"

What backspacing and tire size would look best on these on a stock 2wd 83? (yeah, I know there will be lots of opinions, just looking for some input)

Re: What kind of wheels are these?

Its the tire size,ex. 295/50/15 or 255/60/15.... I am not sure if they go by that anymore? Was back in the mid 80s since I bought tires that size. I just remember buying cragar 5 spokes new 15x8 & 15x10s with those tires on my 83c10 LWB...looked good. I am old school though, never have liked big wheels..

Yeah, I don't either. I want 15's, just wasn't sure what width and tire size to get. I figured that's what the 50's/ 60's was referring to, but what would the width be (255 or ???)

Truck is stock/ not lowered, and I don't really want to drop it (I'm a 4wd guy, just don't like lowered rides).

Re: What kind of wheels are these?

If I remember correctly,it's the aspect ratio of the sidewall to the tread width. For example the 50 is 50% of the tread width I think??? I think 295 is how wide the tread is in millimeters,if I'm wrong someone will chime in!

Yep, first number is the tire width, second number is the % of the width.

Just wondering what ya'll are running on your squarebodies? Stock was 235/75/15

If I put some S/S or similar rims on there I want tires that look a little more "sporty" than the stock tires (wider/ lower profile)

Suggestions?
