McGaughys Rear 13" Big Brake Kit
We have a Rear Big Brake Kit from McGaughy's in stock, that was returned from a customer. He decided to go a different direction. We are selling this kit at a discount for $575 + shipping.
Note: This is a plain rotor kit, NOT cross drilled or slotted. http://www.azproperformance.com/McGa...202-64203.html |

Re: McGaughys Rear 13" Big Brake Kit
What axle does it fit? Is there any chance of getting the drilled rotor?

Travis,
do you sell the e-brake cables for this caliper setup?

The rotors can be swapped and can get them, but the cost of shipping the rotors back and having new ones shipped to you, will be expensive. Probably cheaper to have them drilled locally, or whoever does the machine work for the axles. Quote:
Keep in mind, this kit does require machine work to the rotor and axle of the truck. The center bore of the rotor must be opened up, and the outside axle flange must be turned down to fit inside the rotor. Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: McGaughys Rear 13" Big Brake Kit
David,
I am not sure, as the ones that come with the kit are basically adapters to work with that ebrake pull on the caliper. McGaughys might sell them to you separate, but other than that, I am not sure where to get them. Travis Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: McGaughys Rear 13" Big Brake Kit
To try & help out... You only have to machine the centerbore of the rotor... OR have the axle "hub" turned down to match the centerbore of the rotor (I did the latter because I didn't want any Issue when it was time for new rotors), the axle flange fits inside the rotor fine.
I've used this kit on a 10 bolt from my old '82 square, my '76 Blazer with a 12 bolt & now my '70 and it worked with all 3. And I ended up getting my parking brake cables from Lokar because the ones in the kit wouldn't work. Hope this helps Posted via Mobile Device Last edited by nlped; 07-31-2013 at 03:04 PM. |

Re: McGaughys Rear 13" Big Brake Kit
Good know about the e-brake cables. I have had customers that had to turn down the axle flange as well...maybe just due to variations throughout the years.
