87 chevy 350 tbi HELP
my 87 truck will not start.. the tbi injectors dribble out a little fuel and sometimes it will start but will not run to long because of it is not getting fuel. i replaced the fuel injectors thinking it was them that was wrong. the left side dribbles out, the right side will not. i have even rebuilt the tbi thinking it needed some cleaning.. same thing happens though. what could be my problem? also, the engine in the 87 was replaced with a 93 i think. not to sure on what year the engine that is in it is or what it came out of.any help is greatly appreciated.

Check Fuel pressure - sounds like fuel pump is done for. Also check your fuel filter. Normal fuel pressure range for TBI is 9 to 13 PSI for stock applications.

Did the truck quit or did this happen right after you put the other engine in?
To check the fuel pressure you need an adapter. I would try a few simple things first. A few questions: Is the check engine light on? If so you need to get the codes. Will it start if you pour a little fuel into the TBI? Also you can have someone turn the key ,not to start, while you hold your hand near the top of the gas tank and see if you can feel and hear the pump come on for a few seconds, if so fuel pump is most likely ok. The fuel pressure switch could be bad, the fuel relay switch could be bad, or the dizzy module (it runs both fuel and spark on the tbi). If you pour a little gas in the TBI and it starts and you also feel that the fuel pump is not working when the key is turn on it is most likely the fuel pump, if not you need to check elsewhere.

Dropped the tank. Replaced fuel pump. Works like it did Before. Fuel pump was clogged up and wasnt at normal pressure.
