Drop Spindle
So I know that if you lower the front suspension with drop coils 2 inches or more you should buy drop shocks. But do you have to get drop shocks if you use lowering spindles?

Re: Drop Spindle
thanks guys, it was 9 months ago that I stripped the frame; and starting to put it back together this week, in which case I have misplaced many bolts and such. I goofed around with it enough today and got the steering remounted. and yes, that is a '56 body that I'm putting on an '83 C10 frame.

Re: Drop Spindle
thanks BigD, I purchased this truck as is in the avatar for my wife, we drove it for a few yrs; she wasn't comfortable driving the truck with manual steering and manual drum brakes with a caddy 500ci motor. which started the resurrection of the upgrade plans; my original plan was piecing a '69 Camaro sub-frame in the front to get what I needed, then came across "EZ-swap" which is a company and offers a lot of info on swapping different older yrs with newer frame to get the newer/safer technology imported into your older looking ride.

Re: Drop Spindle
Probably could have gotten just a drop member from PORTERBUILT, but then you would not have the fun of swapping the frame... EXCELLANT work !!!!

Re: Drop Spindle
I did the 2.5 drop spindles from Western Chassis and now my truck is super bouncy up front. I exposed either worn springs or shocks. Either way it was not as bouncy before the drop. I thought I needed drop shocks.
