power door lock actuator issue
Just replaced the driver's power door lock actuator that didnt work. Replaced it with a aftermarket one.. Now it works...only issue im having is that..When i lock it using the switch..it locks the drivers side .but unlocks the passenger side. Weird !!! and if i press it again...it unlocks the drivers side but locks the passenger's side... Now i know its probably the polarity im guessing..any suggestions would be great. Oh.. its a '87 silverado.

Re: power door lock actuator issue
I can't remember if there are two spade connections or one for each actuator. Seems to me that you have connections both switched and crossed somewhere. I would check the back of the switch - often the 90 degree angle attachment configuration behind the switch causes the contacts to work loose. It could just be the switch is arcing out. If that is the case, you will need a new short harness (or two) that goes from the switch to the actuator(s). You can search online at one of the AC Delco OEM suppliers and still get the harness. Post back if you need one and I will try to find the link.
