Re: where to buy u bolts?
I think this is the thread you're looking for.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=454824 It looks like way2lo2 is the member selling these. I posted a request last week to get a price with shipping, but haven't heard back from him yet. I'm going to PM him today. JTB

Re: where to buy u bolts?
for the front. Order the upgrade U bolt kit either from LMC or from Orellies.
The LMC front ubolt part number should be 30-0380 and about twice the price of the ones from orellies. I used the LMCs on Ol John Lee. At orellies the Dorman front ubolt part number should be 13503. I'm ordering these for John Lee Jr. Either way be prepared to drill your mounts out from 7/16" to 9/16" diameter. The nuts will be a close fit and may need a dimple in the crossmember but Chevy upgraded from 7/16 to 1/2 and finally to 9/16 due to the sudden failures and loss of the lower front control arms when using the smaller sizes. I have my Dormans for John Lee Jr on order. I had installed the 9/16" ubolts from LMC on Ol John Lee but he got squished in an Alien Frontal Attack in February and the fella that bought the frame wanted the upgraded hardware I'd installed. You can see the install here starting at post 36. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=556867 You can either order the rear shackels from LMC or take one of yours to orellies or NAPA and order the right size with nuts and washers. Re: where to buy u bolts?
Way2lo2 has got some really good prices on those! I've been doing some looling for when I lower mine. The only way I got mine cheaper was through my work, and that was only $2 each. If I had seen his before I ordered thru work, I would have given him the money!
