problem after ece 4.5/6 drop

hi
dolly gt his drop 4,5 in the frnt with drop spindels all from the kit from ece and 6 in the rear.

my problem know is that my wheels won t fit know they touch the lower arm and the spindle where the steering rod is fixed.

i don t know the size of the wheel but i think these are 15x10 with 4 and a bit backspace there are 275 60 tyres on it.

the backspace is sure 4 and a bit i measured 10,5cm.

which rallys could i buy wh fit? classicindustries has them in 15x8 with 4 backspace would that fit?
i will run with 245 60 or 255 60 tyres...

maybe there is someone who has thies drop with these rally wheals...
thanks a lot

That backspace on a 10" wide wheel definitely wont work. Stock rallys in an 8" flavor certainly will though.

Re: problem after ece 4.5/6 drop

That is a really wide front wheel.

Do you have any before/after pictures of the drop?

I know this doesn't help out at all, lol.

if a 10" wide rim with a 4 backspace hits spindle and control arm // an 8" wide rim with a 4backspace will hit the exact same places

I don't think you have 10" rallys those look like 8" rallys or could be 7's.I would make sure before you end up ordering the same wheel.Good luck great looking truck

Re: problem after ece 4.5/6 drop

Check out this thread to understand the BS on various rally wheels. With the drop you have 4" BS is the max you can go.

Andy those wheels in the picture are not 10" wide. At most they are 8" . FYI the correct wheel width measurement is taken in between the wheel lips, not from outside lip to outside lip. You may be able to use a quarter inch thick spacer behind the wheels to gain the clearance you need. You can use something like several flatwashers over the wheel studs to space the wheel out to verify how much is needed before ordering spacers or new wheels.

Re: problem after ece 4.5/6 drop

You don't need new wheels. Just trim your lower control arms as outlined in post six by lowlife99: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=416186

Nice truck...looks like my twin! I have a 5" drop up front and run 15 x 7 rallies with no issues after trimming the lower arms slightly.

the problem f the spacer is that in germany the must have some papers sheets where they are proven, i dont get them...
