Widen rim options
I have a set of old Caprice police wheels that I would like to see if I can get widened. Has anybody had this done before and who might possibly be able to do something like this?
I love the wheels. They are 15x7's that I would love to widen the rear 2 wheels. |

Stockton wheel can do it. Shipping will add to the cost though....

Broad Wheels in Oneonta, Al. They do a lot of the Nascar wheels.

Re: Widen rim options
Also check out Eric Vaughn Machine, as he might be able to widen them as well. As mentioned above, the shipping will ad some cost of course.

Re: Widen rim options
lets see brake lathe, dial caliper. and a good welder. What I have seen done. is cut the welds from the wheel needing widened on the brake lathe. then this guy would order the steel like wagon wheels in the width desired, or alot time they can be found on craigslist for cheap. remove the center from the rim, and put your center in the wider rim. spin on the brake lathe check for true. weld, and weld.

Re: Widen rim options
You can buy the hoops on ebay relatively cheap...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/261234332217...84.m1438.l2649 I am looking to do the same thing here in Houston. I bought two of these for the rears and am going to leave the stocks on the front.
