Fuel System Clean Up

I'm going through the fuel system on my 72 C20. I've got a dozen tanks of gas through it, but still filling up filters with rust. I've got a new tank coming. I just replaced the fuel pickup because the sender wasn't working, so I'll transfer that to the new tank. The Q-jet is shot and is being replaced with an Edlebrock Performer and aluminum intake that I just ordered. The truck has a lot of extra old rubber fuel line to a duel tank system that no longer exists, so I'll yank that out when I put the tank in. Do I need to swap the hard lines from the tank to the fuel pump while I'm at it? Is there a simple way to clean the hard line out?

Is there a flexible line that would be a better option to run from the tank to the fuel pump? Other than the uber expensive braided lines and AN fittings.

I'm going to order some new pre-bent lines.
