CA Dana 60 Rearend Posi complete 4.10

Dana 60 rearend, power loc posi, 4.10 gears, removed from a recent running/driving '67 GMC. 3/4 ton 2wd 8 lug with leafsprings. Prefer local sale, can hold, as long as paid in full. This is complete with leafspring pack and rear brakes, bolt in and go.. I have this for sale locally as well. $250. May be open to shipping, if that can be arranged by the buyer...up for trades on this also!

Awesome price for the 4.10 Posi axle if I was close I would own it. If it does not sell let me know I would be open to just buying the posi unit and gear set shipped to 48872. Some body should pick up the whole thing though if not let me know

Ca you share how you know it's a posi? Is there reference charts? Just want to learn a little.

good question as i dont see the original limited slip tag on the cover section across from where the 41-10 ratio tag is but they get torn and bent easy over the years and are lost. To tell if it is a posi/limited slip with the wheels of the ground spin one wheel preferably the left one but either will wok and if both wheels spin the same way at the same time it is a posi/limited slip rear.If one wheel spins the opposite way you are spinning the other wheel it is more than likely an open non posi rear end

with out pulling the cover to see the actual unit which is distinct in appearance that is the easiest way to tell

American pick up a member here on the board has a posting showing a 4.10 non posi with the case cover off. (1972 C20 disc brakes and 4.10 dana 60 rear) is the post you can see the unit where the ring gear is even though it is slightly turned downward it has no clutches in the center of it just spider gears on both axle sides ans no other locking mechanism is present as there has to be something to lock both axles together and there are several types of locking or limited slip differential sections. the one pictured in the post is a Dana 60 open carrier/non posi rear. hope that helped and was not confusing.

swamp rat if you need one like this you should jump on it these things are indestructible and are worth every penny. If I was close I would buy it and hang on to it.

Update...willing to sell just the posi and gears...still a heavy piece to ship...but, probably reasonable via Greyhound...

Estimated it at 100 pounds, and the Greyhound site states 102 and change to ship..if that is accurate, I would go $425 delivered to you...

sorry for the delay thanks for looking into the shipping I want it but with the shipping I can get new one shipped to me for less. But hang in there some one will pick this up for sure. I would be willing to take just the carrier with out the gear set. it weighs just about 42 pounds give a take a pound with out the gears. I would do that if it gets down to it if now one else grabs the whole thing with the gears. keep me in mind. Chris

Go through Fastenal to ship, they are reasonable. They don't give a date of delivery because they move it when there is room.
I shipped 175 LBS to NY for $125

The biggest thing is they only ship store to store. But for the savings it worth it.
