1949 chevy 3100 has 16" rims?
Hey guys I was looking at my truck today and I just found out that my truck has the original 16" 6 lug steelie rims!
My question is which tires do I go with, radial or byas ply? I would like to stick with a 3 inch white wall but are these tires very expensive in a 16" radius? or am i better off going with the 15 inch steelie wheel? Posted via Mobile Device |

Yep those were stock. Yep the 16 inch wide whites are a bit expensive and maybe a bit more expensive than 15 inchers. If I was going radials I would switch to 15 inch wheels. Then you have a few more choices as far as wide whites go but unless you find a set of early 50's 15 inchers you will have to change hubcaps.
