tire size and rim combo recommendations 71 1/2 ton 4wd

I am looking to replace my stock wheels with new rims and tires. I have a stock 71 gmc 1/2 ton 4wd. I am going to keep the stock height but am looking to have a mild 4wd truck with a mildly more aggressive look. I want to avoid fender rubbing obviously,

I am thinking of 265/75 r16 AT tire with some American racing rims (AR23) 16x8 with 3.75 back spacing.

Any thoughts on this combo?

Thanks for the help.

I am trying to make sure they do not rub. Do I need a wider rim for a 10 inch wide tire?

Wheels and tire measurements confuse me.

confuses me too! i dont know on the rim size compared to tire size but I dont think a 275 is going to rub.
If you look at the tire company websites where they size all available sizes it usually shows the recommended rim size range. the 275s I was looking at I think were 7.5 to 10 inch wide rims.
