I would find out where all the rust is at, and then I would see if he would come down on the price no granted where you live determines price. To me it's a little on the high side.

I can see the holes in the picture, bottom of doors, bottom of fenders, guaranteed there's more hiding. Pretty typical, even the Calif trucks get that rust in doors, cab corners, lower fenders, etc. These trucks came from the factory with rust

If it runs really good then it should make a good driver, offer $2000 firm
That's a lot of gas consumption for a daily driver

Where the windshield is when you lift the hood there should be a little piece of rubber look around there, check the bed, rocker panels, core support definitely a typical rust spot, hood. When you go look at it, and if you do look closely at everything for these trucks rust can be a little bit of a hider so don't think because it looks safe from rust that it is, so check everywhere possible.

I would say offer him $1,700 and go no higher than $2,000 it's not worth what he's asking for.

As far as 4wd I can't verify mine is a 2wd, so hopefully someone else can chime in. That'd be another thing to check make sure it works fine. Check for leaks, oil, make sure everything is nice and tight you can't ever be too safe with these trucks honestly.

We're not trying to be ruthless or rude, but you had asked for our opinions of the truck and that's what were all doing. I mean I have a 2wd the people wanted 1700 for mine but I ended up buying it for 1300. It is part of the game yes but you have to remember it's a 2 way game they want to get the most but you want a good deal.

I'd get some pic's of the underside but that's me. In my area 2000 no more. I'd say that and walk if not. Dash looks good but bed isn't origional... Looks solid though. As far as 4x4 goes it strong as it gets simple. My opinion looks like a solid starting point if it runs and drives good... Big IF

check this out. This use to be my truck. I put 6" springs(new front and rear-NO BLOCKS),braided stainless brake lines, rebuilt tranny,went through the brakes/bearings, but that was about 8yrs ago. It still looks the same as it did when I sold it to this guy!

im coming out west to get a truck!! around here a $1500 4x4 has been sitting in a field for 15 years!! here in south ohio thats a $3500 truck!!

Being that I am from Montana, I know that most people in that area figure that a running 4x4 is always worth at least $1500 I agree with everyone here that it has issues and you can easily see some in the pictures and rust is not an easy fix especially the cab corners and the rocker panels. I would offer the guy between 15 and 1700 depending on what he tells you he has done to it and even look on Classic KBB with all the options it has I would say that truck is in Poor condition and I would not pay anything over $2000 even if it has new tires and a new engine.

So if you buy a "no op", I assume it did not pass emissions? Will it come with a regular title, I can bring it back to my state "no emissions testing" and will have no problem with Cali and the title?

Yes it would come with a regular title...just not current registration..hence the NON-OP....
