Air Conditioning

I put a Edlebrock intake on my 1981 GMC Shortbed 305 everything is good except my A/C the bottom bolt dont match up. Has anyone else had this problem? Do i have to have someone make me a special bracket? Any help would be great. Thanks in advance can take pics tonight when i get in.

Re: Air Conditioning

Can't remember where the bolt went, but I have an Edlebrock on a 350 and there wasn't any special bracket for the a/c. I would take a pic, but I have it off right now (gotta get a new compressor).

I may have something on my computer at home and will look when I get home.

Re: Air Conditioning

Well, no luck with pics. Can't find them anywhere.

What kind of compressor do you have? Is it a long one and what side are you trying to mount it too?

I know a while back when I took mine off for a while, I couldn't remember how it went back so I spent a couple hours in a junk yard looking for my setup then took some pics of it. Came back and had mine on in no time.

Re: Air Conditioning

i had the same problem with Edelbrock intakes, had to use a spacer and a longer bolt on the compressor.
