Am I crazy for picking this?
At the pick-n-Pull yard the other day, I wrestled a front bench seat out of a 71 or 72 (I don't recall) 402 suburban and ripped out the rusty sill plates to save this. I just couldn't find anything wrong with it other than it was dirty. Must have had another mat over it since new. I think original soft parts are hard to find - or did I waste my time? I didn't get the rear mat because it was about 90 degrees and I got tired. I don't even have anything to put it in but I just thought it was neat.

Re: Am I crazy for picking this?
Anytime you can salvage a reusable part from these old trucks it's worth it in my books. I'd clean it up, use your favorite vinyl preservative and see what it looks like. I've kept my original dash pad on my 68 fairly pliable with wipe on vinyl protectant. I use it about every six months or so.

I wish I could find a black or light blue rubber mat in that condition. Nice find.

That is a great score, and well worth pulling! I am jealous you found a 67-72 burb at a boneyard...I have seen 1 in 7 years and it was already picked clean.
