497 miles on this 1972 c10
i was at a local car show/ swap meet and saw this 1972 c10 with 497 original miles! the story behind it is as follows:
A very rich man lived way back in the woods with no running water or electric. He purchased this truck as well as a 78 ford f150. Recently the man passed away and his kids were left with these 2 trucks. The guys kids called up some people(the new owners) and said if they were interested in buying these 2 trucks or they are going to scrap them. They said yes they will come look at them and see if they will buy them or not. As they got there they relized they came across sonething unbelivable to pass up. So they imediatly bought them. The ford has 679 original miles. its hard to belive but they are very original looking. Posted via Mobile Device

Well if it is true it would make some sense if he bought them as quasi toys.

Yeah, too bad it went to a speculator and not someone who appreciates these trucks.I could never just turn right around and sell a find of the century. Now someone who appreciates these trucks will pay a premium price for a truck that will need a heap of work to be reliable to run.
