Need Opinions, Thinking about setting up Dual Shocks in the Rear??

So the more I dig into my old girl the more $$$ and idea's go into it.
I've seen other post for similiar questions but my setup is a little different.

My shortbox is on 1 ton axles n 35's, I have blocks in the rear (like to elimnate soon) The truck ride is very stiff and was curious if I had a setup with 4 shocks in the rear if it would soften it up. The previous shocks were hammered so it already is going to ride better but for the price, $50 a shock it's not that bad taking a shot.

I will tow and fill the bed of this so it will get used as a truck. Would I benefit from this or not?? Any input experience is appreciated

I was thinking about using these universal Weld in parts:

Adding more shocks will just make it stiffer. How about some more info on the suspension your running

shocks just dampen how much it bounces... your springs are what makes it rough.

That's basically true, but as kwmech posted above, adding more shocks will further stiffen the ride because of the additional damping action.

If you still decide to add another pair of shocks, all four of them will need to be valved specifically for quad-shock application.
