Temp on highway

I was wondering what you guys think is a good temperature to be running when running down the highway at 70ish mph??? The 86 I am building with TBI 350/700R4 out of an 87 is running just a hair over 210, so maybe 215-220. Should I be worried or is that about normal?

Re: Temp on highway

what size radiator do you have. if you have a one core thats probably where you should be. i have a 3 core an i run around 188-195 only time it goes above 200 if im at a stand still for more then 10min. if its the original i would diff swap it out. you can get a all aluminum 2core $170 an 3core $220. if you do i would also change out the water pump for extra assurance. so you be spending $220-270. being from texas an our summers you will need

Re: Temp on highway

It's a single core and yeah my plans are to up her heart out replace the pumps and give her a coat of paint and freshen her up a bit with the install of a new radiator during the process so that should help out! I just wasn't sure on the temp thing! I appreciate the help on this one!
