What grille do I have!?
The truck is a 1984, used to be an old sheriffs truck. Every post and picture I see of other 84s, the truck has stacked dual headlights with the blinker behind the grille. Mine only has one headlight stacked on top of a blinker. Its in dire need of repair but I don't know where to begin cause all my searches come up with the dual headlights....HELP. Thanks in advance.

Re: What grille do I have!?
Unless I'm mistaken that's an 83/84 single headlight setup. I used LMC as a reference http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cc/full.aspx?Page=41, you'll notice on the lmc picture that the 83/84 has 3 fins top and bottom going horizontal while the 85-88 only has 1. All pre 80 can be ruled out because they are round headlights, and the 80 rectangular use narrower turn signals just like 79 round, and 81-82 the single headlight models has the bottom section covered.

Re: What grille do I have!?
They can be interchanged correct? I noticed my 81 has the 4 lights but there's a punch-out in the radiator support beside the upper headlight for the suburban setup with the 4 horizontal lights.

Re: What grille do I have!?
My 84 has the same grill. I put a new repro one in. Mine is the same as the one in LMC part # 38-4003.
THe bowtie won't bolt on but I think it looks cleaner without. Mine came from the local speedshop for 65 bucks. LMC will cost you about $110. It fit like a glove. |

Re: What grille do I have!?
Low trim level trucks had single headlights.
IIRC grilles interchange, headlights and trim do not, to go to a 4 headlight you have to change the core support.

Bought it from the local speed shop but they got it from these guys. Not sure if they'll ship to you but you can ask them.
